We burn fewer calories as we age, so that even with regular exercise, we need to eat less. Gradually reduce the amount of food you eat each day until you are consuming about 25% less. Prepare smaller portions, eat your meals slower, and chew food thoroughly.

Sit down and enjoy each meal. Don’t eat in your car or in front of your computer at work.

Avoid drinking a large quantity of liquid while you eat. It interrupts the digestive process.

Clear your cabinets and refrigerator of temping, fatting foods. Dispose of juke foods. If it’s not in the house you won’t eat it.
